Eye Candy :: Jack Mackenroth for /baskit/

What's in your basket this summer? We all know what's inside of hunky celebrity advocate Jack Mackenroth's... or rather what's on his basket.

Mackenroth has been rightfully photographed in Baskit's new 2011 line and is the perfect piece of eye candy. It would appear a synergetic masterpiece the blending of these two brands; Mackenroth, an avid swimmer and fitness enthusiastic, is positively perfect in deLuxe, Energy and Outlines.

"Besides the fact that I love their product," Mackenroth exclusively told EDGE, "I think I'm a good fit as a swimwear/underwear model since I've been a competitive swimmer for 30 years. Also as a designer myself I really appreciate the fit, fabrication and design. Baskit always fits well over my bum, which I appreciate." As do we!

The envy of every beachcomber this summer, you're probably wondering what Jack does to keep looking like an Olympian.

"Well I know this sounds like a lame cop-out answer but mainly I was just blessed with good genes. Of course I work my ass off (clearly not literally) to stay in shape.

"I'm either in the gym or the pool at least 2 hours a day."

And it's paying off - he's never looked better in or out of the pool.

Keeping up with Mackenroth alone is a great workout. 2011 is shaping up, along with the Baskit campaign to be one of his best yet.

"It's definitely been an interesting year professionally," he told me. "Professionally I've had some great success this year which illustrates that some of the barriers that being gay or HIV+ may have created are dissipating. I can only strive to be the best version of myself I can be."

Jack is working on what he calls "a sarcastic memoir" that he's focused on completing soon, and has appeared on a couple of new episodes of "How Do I Look" on the Style Network.
