Wilton Manors gets a little greener

Wilton Manors is just another town cashing in on some green- well not the kind of green that you might expect. On Valentines Day, a new enviro-friendly transportation service was introduced to Wilton Manors.

It's called the Green Hopper and is a fun and easy way to hop around town.

Sidelines Sports Bar (voted the best Gay & Lesbian sports bar) and longtime Wilton Manors resident Alan got together and saw an opportunity to provide the GLBT community with a new way to catch a ride along the Drive.

Since parking can sometimes be an issue on the Drive and Sidelines Sports Bar has been finding a way to curtail this problem, the Green Hopper seemed like an opportune calling.

And of course drinking and driving is never a good idea so the Green Hopper can also save you the headache of worrying about a designated driver. You don't even have to worry about leaving the club early because the Green Hopper runs until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

So the Green Hopper will not only can keep you out of trouble, but also set the scale for the green initiative in Wilton Manors.

It looks like a golf cart on steroids and is 100% electric and has zero emissions. This five passenger vehicle will take you to all your favorite hotspots at little cost.

There is typically no set fee for this service, but generous tips are welcomed to keep this service going so please don't be cheap and lets keep the Green Hopper neat.
