Soap Opera Brothers Max Parker and Kris Mochrie Announce Wedding Date
Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 2 MIN.
It's more than brotherly love for two actors who met on a long-running British soap opera.
They played brothers on ITV's "Emmerdale," and now real-life fiancés Max Parker and Kris Mochrie have shared the date for their wedding, which evidently is set to take place a year from now.
Mochrie, 39, "shared the news to his Instagram Stories after Max, 32, popped the question in a sweet beach proposal two years ago," UK newspaper the Daily Mail detailed.
Mochrie's Aug. 7 post featured an illustration of a wedding ring over a rainbow background, with the words "365 days to go, & 365 things to do" appearing along with the ring, suggesting that wedding bells will sound for the happy couple next August 7.
Mochrie met Parker just as he was leaving the soap, and although the two played brothers they had no scenes together. Even so, "backstage a friendship developed and then romance blossomed," the Mail relayed.
Parker took to Instagram in 2022 to announce that Mochrie had accepted his proposal of marriage.
"He deserves the world," Parker posted, "but the best I could do was promise him my heart. HE SAID YES 🤭❤️!
"Happiest moment of my life," Parker added.
Mochrie, too, posted on Instagram to share the news, writing, "The beautiful soul that is my best friend asked me to marry him yesterday. I can't begin to describe how happy I am."
"I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day and I'm so so grateful that he came in to my life," Mochrie added.
Between now and next August, there are plenty of hot photos to enjoy from both actors' Instagram feeds.
