Queer Celebrity Relationships of 2023: Those Who Fell in Love
Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 11 MIN.
Zane Phillips & Froy Gutierrez
After being spotted locking lips at a Pride party earlier in the year, these gorgeous men made things Insta-official with a really sweet carousel post of them looking lovingly at each other and kissing at the beach – and the rest is history! Things seem to be going strong as they continue to attend events together (in October, Joel Kim Booster thanked Phillips for kissing him on stage "in front of your boyfriend"), and comment adoringly on each other's Instagram posts.
Sophia Bush & Ashlyn Harris
The ship that set a thousand sapphic group chats on fire! The "One Tree Hill" alum and Team USA World Cup winning goalkeeper were spotted looking coupled up veryyy shortly after their respective divorces, prompting much gossip about the timing of their previous relationships ending and this one starting. However it began, they're still being seen together, and we're happy they found love!
Reneé Rapp & Alissa Carrington
In an August interview with The Cut, Reneé Rapp shared that she has recently started "a queer relationship with a curly-haired brunette." Just days later, Rapp posted a video to her TikTok where she mouths along to the audio of her own song, confessing her complicated but adoring feelings for someone – "...Having said all that, do you still wanna be with me? 'Cause I still wanna be with you, maybe like, forever."
Lily-Rose Depp & 070 Shake
"The Idol" star actress Lily-Rose Depp announced that she's dating musician 070 Shake (who she's called "prince charming") on her Instagram Stories in May, captioning the pics "4 months w my crush." The couple are often spotted out and about in the city together, and are certainly not shy about kissing in public, inspiring many a "Lily Rose Depp and girlfriend 070 Shake pack on the PDA" headlines in entertainment news and celeb gossip pages. They exude effortlessly cool, unabashedly in-love energy everywhere they go, and we love that for them!
Carl Nassib & Søren Dahl
Carl Nassib, the first NFL player to be out as gay while playing, went public with his boyfriend, Olympic swimmer Søren Dahl, on Instagram Stories at the start of this year. Dahl then posted a really adorable collection of photos where he's seen supporting "his man" at NFL games, wearing a Nassib jersey. They always look super happy together, like they're truly having fun. In July, Nassib posted a couples pic wishing a "Happy birthday to the best boyfriend I could dream of. Thanks for laughing at my jokes."
Gabby Windey & Robby Hoffman
Gabby Windey ended her 2022 season of "The Bachelorette" engaged to Erich Schwer, but that relationship was over by November. In August, Windey announced on "The View" that she's been seeing someone for a couple of months, adding that she's been "keeping it a little more private because it is like a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I'm dating a girl!" She shared this news alongside posting an Instagram photo of herself with comedian and TV writer Robby Hoffman, the caption simply stating "Told you I'm a girls girl!!"
Nico Santos & Zeke Smith
Queer love has blossomed from two of our all-time favorite shows. After dating for about six years, and getting engaged on stage during last year's GLAAD Media Awards, "Superstore" star Nico Santos married two-time "Survivor" contestant Zeke Smith with a joyful, colorful wedding celebration in Palm Springs this November. Smith shared photos from their big day with a heartfelt caption: "I married my favorite person on the planet. It was perfect. Without expectation, the best day of my life."
Conrad Ricamora & Peter Wesley
In late July, "Fire Island" star Conrad Ricamora and his partner Peter Wesley, announced that they're "Happily hyphenated, introducing the Ricamora-Jensens." The couple tied the knot at City Hall in New York City, with Ricamora sharing that "lots of great things happened these past few weeks, but this is the highlight of my life."
Chrishell Stause & G Flip
So much pop culture goodness has come from this relationship! From the gorgeous queer ballad "Be Your Man" which nonbinary Australian musician G-Flip wrote for their wife, to Chrishell fiercely correcting and defending her spouse's gender identity on "Selling Sunset." A year after Stause confirmed she was dating G Flip on the reality show's reunion episode, the couple shared a surprise marriage announcement, which Stause captioned "Love doesn't always go as planned ... Sometimes it's immeasurably better." And who could forget their iconic and incredibly sexy Halloween costume this year, when they dressed up as Ross Lynch and Troye Sivan in the "One Of Your Girls" video.
Rebel Wilson & Ramona Agruma
The "Pitch Perfect" alum first shared that she's dating Ramona Agruma in June last year; In November, they welcomed a baby named Royce, whose first word, Wilson laughed when sharing, was "obviously 'mom.'" In February this year, they got engaged at Disneyland. It was all very picturesque and idealistic, complete with a Tiffany's ring and help from Bob Iger to make the magic happen. Since then, they've been seen glowing together on red carpets and sharing Royce's milestones on Instagram.
