Timothée Chalamet Posts Wet, Thirsty Pics of Shirtless Summer Swim

Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 2 MIN.

"Call Me by Your Name" star Timothée Chalamet posted a pair of thirsty, sun-soaked photos of himself enjoying a shirtless swim over the weekend on Instagram with the caption "summer24!"

The snaps were posted even as the 27-year-old actor is romancing Kylie Jenner, UK newspaper the Daily Mail said, though Jenner did not appear in the photos with Chalamet.

The Mail noted that the "Dune" lead "recently made [headlines] for reportedly still dating Kylie Jenner despite reports he dumped the 26-year-old reality star..."

The "Bones and All" actor posted a separate shirtless selfie to his Instagram Stories, the Mail relayed.

It's uncertain what "summer24" refers to. Chalamet has two major films in post-production, both scheduled for release later this year. One is the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" prequel "Wonka," due out Dec. 15, in which Chalamet plays a younger version of the beloved fictional chocolatier. The other major movie Chalamet stars in this year is the hotly anticipated second part of Denis Villaneuve's film adaptation of Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic "Dune," which is slated for a Nov. 17 release.

IMDb lists a Chalamet-led project that is currently cited as being in pre-production: "A Complete Unknown," in which the actor is set to play a young Bob Dylan.

But fans have cast Chalamet in their imaginations in yet another part: Regulus Black from a putative "Harry Potter" prequel called "Marauders." Some of the comments left at the Instagram post reflected that.

"IN WATER? IN A CAVE? regulus get out of THE DAMN WATER YOU CANNOT SWIMMMMMMM🙄🙄🙄" one person posted.

Another person exhorted, "REGGIE GET OUT OF THE WATER," while a third predicted, "Im pretty zure im gon be seeing this pic on every marauder page 😭"

"Harry Potter" author J. K. Rowling inflamed fans' imaginations and spawned the "Marauders" myth with a handwritten single-page short story that she dashed out in 2008, with the manuscript being sold for charity. Hypable noted that Rowling stated at that time she was not writing a prequel to the beloved series, though she went on to collaborate on "Fantastic Beasts," a prequel film franchise that was originally projected to comprise five films, but sputtered out after three.

It's unlikely "summer24" referred to any "Marauders"-related project, but fans can certainly dream up plenty of adventures for Regulus Black - and the actor many of them have chosen to portray him.
