Human Rights Campaign Launches Billboard Campaign Against Florida 'Don't Say Gay' Law

The Human Rights Campaign rolled out a new billboard campaign on Thursday, in cities Tampa, Tallahassee and Orlando, condemning Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law.
As reported by The Hill, a total of seven billboards have gone live that welcome people to Florida "The Sunshine 'Don't Say Gay or Trans' State."
HRC said in a news release Thursday that more billboards are scheduled to go up in South Florida over the next few days.
"Florida's 'Don't Say Gay or Trans' law is outrageous and discriminatory. It needs to be repealed immediately," HRC Interim President Joni Madison said in a statement Thursday. "This billboard campaign is designed to make people confront what this terrible law really does: censor and silence educators and isolate LGBTQ+ students and their families."
Once "Don't Say Gay" takes effect this summer, Florida parents will have greater authority to challenge learning materials and any school district believed to violate the measures stated in the law about gender ideology and sexuality.
