Out entertainer JoJo Siwa took to Instagram to show off a new look: A summer 'do that sees her minus her famous ponytail, People Magazine reported.

"The 'Dancing With the Stars' alum – who has been rocking a high ponytail for the majority of her career – debuted her new short 'do on Instagram Thursday, simply captioning a gorgeous selfie, 'HAPPPPPY,'" People detailed.

"In the photo, Siwa, 18, grins at the camera, showing off her new pixie cut that's short on the sides and long on top," the article added.

Prior to the dramatic cut, Siwa posted video of herself in a hair salon, Buzzfeed related. The caption accompanying the video name checked Demi Lovato and teased, "Cool for the Summer."

The followup tweet included the new look's reveal; Siwa admitted she was still experimenting with how best to wear her new short locks, posting, "it's gonna be different every day and I'm still learning how to do it."

"It's way different than long hair, it's crazy, but I'm obsessed!" Siwa said.

USA Today recalled that "this isn't the first time she's changed her look. The star showed fans a different side of her in April 2020 when she displayed a toned-down look in a TikTok video. The video featured Siwa sporting relaxed waves and a black t-shirt, a stark comparison to her glittery, metallic looks."

USA Today said that Siwa "has made waves as a budding LGBTQ icon," detailing how she achieved a first "on 'Dancing with the Stars,' which saw her compete with a female professional partner... it was the first same-sex pairing featured in the series."

Siwa dated Kylie Prew for a time, but the two broke up in October of last year. Last month, however, the youthful star revealed she was in a new relationship – though she didn't say with whom.

"No, I'm a loyal lady," Siwa added.
