The gym is never far away from out actor Luke Evans – be it in London, Down Under, or Atlanta, where he is currently filming a new series. He proved this on Saturday when he posted a new workout thirst trap, a black and white photo of his ripped body that shows the progress he's made over the past year.

"Gains and Veins. And some good lighting...." the 42-year old captioned the snapshot.

"The comments under the photo consisted of the usual mix of impressed and thirsty remarks, with his friend and 'Beauty and the Beast' co-star Josh Gad joking: 'Yeah. I'm doing the same to prep for Beauty,'" notes reported Yahoo! Sports. "He was referring, of course, to the fact that he and Evans will soon be reuniting in Disney's 'The Little Town,' a prequel series to 'Beauty and the Beast' which will focus on the misadventures of Gaston and his sidekick LeFou. If Evans' training is anything to go by, the show will presumably feature at least one scene in which the vain, vascular Gaston shows off his buff physique."

The actor has been documenting his fitness regimen since chronicling his body transformation journey on Instagram six months ago.

Recently, Evans shared another thirst trap showing him celebrating Pride Month.

In the pic, a shirtless Evans models a pair of Versace underwear featuring a rainbow waistband. "Wear your pride. Live your pride. Be your pride. And be kind," the actor captioned the smoking-hot photo. "Everyone deserves to have happiness. Human rights belong to everyone. #happypridemonth and every other month of the year!"

The "Beauty and the Beast" role marks the latest project for the busy Evans, who is still drawing Emmy buzz for his part in "The Pembrokeshire Murders" and is slated to star in the upcoming live-action "Pinocchio" film which is currently in production. As Deadline reported, Evans also signed to star in Apple's "Echo 3," an action-thriller drama series from Oscar-winning producer Mark Boal ("The Hurt Locker"), Apple Studios, and Keshet Studios. Additionally, Evans is a rumored frontrunner to portray the next James Bond, which would mark the first time an out actor has been cast in the iconic role.

In other news, Evans recently finished shooting a lead ensemble role in Hulu's limited series "Nine Perfect Strangers," starring opposite Melissa McCarthy and Nicole Kidman.

Evans, who plays a gay divorce lawyer in the series, said it was "nice" to portray a gay character onscreen for the first time. "It was a lovely character to delve into and to calibrate and deliver this complex person. But, yes, it was nice to play a gay character after all these years of doing roles on stage and screen," EDGE reported him saying in March.
