Out Actor Charlie Carver & Twin Brother Cast in Robert Pattinson's 'The Batman'

The upcoming Batman film – simply titled "The Batman" – which stars Robert Pattinson as the titular superhero just got two new cast members: Out actor Charlie Carver and his twin brother Max Carver, accrding to The A.V. Club.

Directed by Matt Reeves, "The Batman" also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Colin Farrell as Penguin. The Carver brothers' roles in the film have not been revealed, however.

The siblings previously starred in "The Leftovers" and "Teen Wolf" together.

Back in 2016, Charlie Carver made headlines when he took to Instagram and came out as gay.

"As a young boy, I knew I wanted to be an actor. I knew I wanted to be a lot of things!" Carver wrote at the time. "It was around that age that I also knew, however abstractly, that I was different from some of the other boys in my grade. Over time, this abstract 'knowing' grew...ending in a climax of saying three words out loud: 'I am gay.'"
