How do you make the controversial sign in front of the notorious Harlem Hate Church even more offensive? It's easy. Just add a TV.

Neighbors in Harlem are up in arms over the latest addition to the already offensive sign in front of the headquarters for the SPLC-designated anti-LGBTQ hate group ATLAH World Missionary Church. Defying city orders, the organization's famed homophobic pastor James David Manning has recently attached a large television to the sign that frequently features messages like "Obama has released homo demons."

Speaking with DNAInfo, Manning had a go-for-broke attitude. "They've already condemned the [existing] sign for being in violation, so what am I supposed to do?" He said.

The timing of the sign coincides with the beleaguered anti-LGBTQ church's latest round of legal and financial woes, which its addition only adds to. DNAInfo notes that Manning's organization already owes the city $23,000 for previous landmark violations related to building alternations.

The church is currently losing in its appeals process over the more than $1 million in debt that could end in foreclosure. All of this is good news for The Ali Forney Center, a group that cares for homeless LGBTQ youth. Ali Forney has had their eye on the Harlem property and has successfully crowdfunded a down deposit should it go into foreclosure.
