HMI Holds Inaugural Women's Luncheon, 'Women Who Lead: Moving Community Forward'

On Friday, April 28, the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) will hold their Inaugural Women's Luncheon, "Women Who Lead: Moving Community Forward."

The Awards lunch and "What She Said" panel discussion will focus on professional women, the present day challenges for the LGBTQ community, and how those challenges translate to young LGBTQ citizens now and as they grow and develop.

The event will honor Erika Karp, Founder & CEO of Cornerstone Capital; and Fern Mallis, President of Fern Mallis LLC.

It is hosted by Bevy Smith, Host of Bevelations on SiriusXM's RadioAndy. Edie Windsor is the honorary host. Event Co-Chairs are Jeanne Feldhusen, Tenaja Jordan, Joan Katz, Bonnie Rabin, and Stephanie Rubin.

Join HMI for the Women Who Lead luncheon and awards featuring a live taping of "What She Said," the global speaker series produced by W Hotels Worldwide that brings together inspirational women leaders to share personal stories and insights. Proceeds from the event go to support LGBTQ youth at Hetrick-Martin Institute.

Hetrick-Martin Institute believes all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. Hetrick-Martin creates this environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth between the ages of 13-24 and their families.

Through a comprehensive package of direct services and referrals, Hetrick-Martin seeks to foster healthy youth development. Hetrick-Martin's staff promotes excellence in the delivery of youth services and uses its expertise to create innovative programs that other organizations may use as models. Tickets are $150; $75 for Young Professionals.
