Lance Bass On Lack of Radio Play: 'I Don't Know if it's Because I'm Gay'

Former *NSYNC member Lance Bass is wondering why his solo music hasn't taken off, say like fellow boy band singer Justin Timberlake. Bass suggested to Page Six his sexuality may play a part in the lack of radio play.

Bass, 37, said his 2014 single "Walking on Air" did not chart in the U.S. but told Page Six the song "went no. 1 everywhere...except America."

"The radio stations wouldn't play my songs .?.?. I don't know if it's because I'm gay or if it's because I'm from *NSYNC, but the politics around it is so crazy and I don't care to deal with that [expletive]," Bass told the newspaper. "I'm not 18 anymore, so I do [music] for fun. I go where I'm needed and wanted - and right now, that's television."

Bass was a contributor on NBC's "The Meredith Vieira Show" before it was canceled earlier this year. He is set to star on the competition show "My Kitchen Rules" on Fox.
