Carly Rae Jepsen Rings in New Year at Venetian Las Vegas

Multi-platinum Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen will ring in the New Year at Venetian Las Vegas during three concert performances: �Dec. 30, and 31, 2015 and Jan. 2, 2016.� Jepsen will perform her headline shows inside The Venetian Theatre.
"Miss Jepsen is a phenomenally talented singer, songwriter and actress," said George Markantonis, president and chief operating officer of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo. "We're excited to bring somebody of her appeal to The Venetian Theatre and we can't wait to have her ring in the New Year with us."
The Venetian Theatre has been home to several live music residencies, including "Soul2Soul" with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, "The Essential Diana Ross" and "The Judds - Girls Night Out."� In January, it will be home to iconic musician John Fogerty.
Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed new album "E�MO�TION" on August 21, earning a host of positive reviews from such outlets as Rolling Stone, Stereogum, People, NPR, and TIME magazine, which deemed "E�MO�TION," "the current frontrunner for pop album of the year." �The first single released from the album, "I Really Like You," became a global Top 40 hit, while the video is Vevo Certified with more than 100 million views. Jepsen's new single "Run Away with Me" is out now.�
"E�MO�TION" is the follow-up to Jepsen's U.S. debut album "Kiss," which featured her blockbuster break-out hit "Call Me Maybe." The single climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in more than 47 countries and has sold more than 18 million singles worldwide to date. It earned Jepsen 2012 Grammy nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. "Kiss" also spawned the follow-up hit "Good Time," a duet with Owl City, which has been certified double-platinum. Jepsen spent much of 2014 starring in the Broadway production of "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella," earning rave reviews. Jepsen will also star as Frenchy in "Grease: Live" airing Sunday, January 31 on FOX.
At midnight on New Year's Eve, the entire Las Vegas Strip gets into the party with approximately 80,000 pyrotechnic shells deployed from 11 casino rooftops -- including The Venetian. Officially called "America's Party 2016," the Las Vegas New Year's Eve party was named one of the top places in the world to celebrate the holiday by Fodor's, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and National Geographic.
Jepsen will perform in the Venetian Theatre at 8 p.m. on Dec. 30 and Jan. 2. On New Year's Eve, she will perform at 10 p.m.
