South Florida Boys of Leather Host Annual Pool Party

The South Florida Boys of Leather will be hosting their sixth annual pool party from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Inn Leather in Lauderdale, Fla. as an effort to raise money for local businesses and charities.

For just $20, anyone who is at least 21 years or older, will enjoy music, food and entertainment throughout the fetish club's fundraising event.

"It's for a good cause and I hope a lot of people will come so that we can raise as much money as possible," said the President of The South Florida Boys of Leather and 'Alpha Boy' who identifies as 'Boy Larry' in the organization.

"We won't restrict anyone at the party. It's going to be a good time," he said.

Since forming in 2009, the South Florida Boys of Leather hosted their annual pool party in an effort to raise money for local South Florida organizations such as Sunserve in Wilton Manors and Leatherworks in Fort Lauderdale.

"We've raised a lot of money in past years, but I'm hoping we beat that and make even more," Larry said.

Last year's pool party raised over $2,000. Larry is certain that the money raised from raffle tickets alone will garner most of this year's funds.

"We have awesome prizes donated from local businesses," Larry said.

While soaking up the sun, attendees can enjoy food generously donated to the event by Wilton Manor's Courtyard Cafe.

"They have supported us for years," Larry said. "There's going to be burgers, hotdogs, chips and salad."

In addition, beer, wine and vodka drinks will be available for guests to purchase.

Tickets for the event can be bought at the door or by contacting Inn Leather.

Larry is optimistic about the pool party and ensures people will leave satisfied.

"They're going to have fun and leave excited about coming back next year," he said.
