Being rejected is never fun. According to police report, a Florida woman took things too far Wednesday when she allgedly attacked her girlfriend, who refused to kiss her.
The Smoking Gun reports Shantrell Owens, 24, became upset after her girlfriend reportedly rejected her attempts to kiss her. Owen's partner told police that the couple, who have been dating for seven years, had an altercation earlier in the night at another residence. She said Owens "became upset" and pushed her to the ground when "she would not kiss her."
When the women returned to their home in Vero Beach, Fla., Owens tried to kiss her girlfriend again. Meka Mitchell, a friend of the couple, told cops the victim "pulled away and told [Owens] to stop." Mitchell added that Owens did not react well to the rejection, struck her girlfriend and "knocked her to the bed."
Owens reportedly yelled "take me to jail" while an officer was questioning the victim and Mitchell, the Smoking Gun reports.
Owens was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. She was also charged with resisting without violence, which is also a misdemeanor. She is currently being held on a $1,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 1.
