A clip from a local Connecticut talk show is going viral this week thanks to anchor Scot Haney's hilarious reaction to learning that a smokin' hot chef, who was a guest on the show, isn't married.

Chef Ryan Durant, owner of Assaggio Restaurant in Branford, Conn., stopped by local talk show "Better Connecticut" to showcase his recipe for crab cakes. But things got a little nuts when Haney started to chat up Durant.

"You are married, right Ryan?" the co-host asks.

"I am not," Durant replies.

"You're not?!" Haney said, looking straight into the camera with wide eyes before dropping his fork.

Haney then walks off set dumbfounded while the chef mentions he has "a beautiful girlfriend" and cracks up.

The story was reported by BuzzFeed, in an article called "Thirsty Anchor Drops His Fork Over Sexy Chef On Live TV," which Haney talked about on his show.

"I don't understand that! Buzzfeed... apparently if you make Buzzfeed, you're doing something right," he said. "[Ryan] is probably one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen, and I thought he had a wife, and he didn't."

I was trying to let the old women in the audience know that he was taken, and then all of a sudden he wasn't, and I was like 'guuuuuuh!," he added. "But then you recovered nicely for the both of us, because I just walked off stage."

Nevertheless, Haney isn't quite sure what "thirsty" means.

"Thirsty, is that some kind of a kid term? I would say hungry. I was hungry," he said.

Though the handsome Durant isn't gay, BuzzFeed notes he is an LGBT ally and is involved with the non-profit organization Dining Out For Life, an annual fundraising event that raises money for AIDS service organizations.
