Watch: Candace Cameron Defends Anti-Gay Discrimination on 'The View' and Raven Symoné is Not Having It

Candace Cameron Bure is sister to Kirk Cameron. And while she shares her brother's Christian faith, she usually shies away from publicly evangelizing. Tuesday's edition of "The View" was a rare look into her heart on the matter of anti-gay discrimination. Apparently, she's OK with it.

Tensions were high on the set of "The View" Tuesday, when guest Candace Cameron Bure, best known for playing the role of DJ in the 80's-90's family sitcom "Full House," locked horns with the talk show's newest co-host, lesbian former child star Raven Symon� over anti-gay discrimination.

The heated debate between the two 80s and 90s TV child stars began when moderator Whoopi Goldberg brought up the recent court decision ordering the owners of a bakery in Oregon to pay $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for a lesbian couple's wedding.

Referencing Oregon's anti-discrimination laws that protect race, disability, age, religion and sexual orientation, Symon� said, "it's the same exact thing that they did back in the day saying that black people couldn't do certain things because it's "my religious belief."

Cameron Bure dissented, arguing that it wasn't a case of discrimination but a free exercise of First Amendment rights.

"We do still have the right to choose who we associate with," Cameron Bure said.

Symon� responded "I refuse to associate myself with you right now."

Oddly enough, Tuesday was not the first time Cameron Bure and Symon� shared screen time together.

In 2006, nearly a decade after "Full House" was cancelled, Cameron Bure guest starred on an episode of "That's So Raven" in which she played a very young looking teacher who gets fired because of Raven.
