Brooklyn Event Supports Point Foundation's LGBT Scholars

EDGE READ TIME: 1 MIN.

On Wednesday, February 25 in a private Williamsburg waterfront apartment, The Point Foundation Valedictorian Society will give Point Scholars and Alumni the chance to network.

The February 25 Valedictorian Society event in Williamsburg is an opportunity to meet Point Scholars and Alumni and hear their extraordinary stories while enjoying cocktails, appetizers and a sweeping view of the Manhattan skyline.

Point, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, will celebrate and help support the next generation of LGBTQ leaders.

Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential -- despite the obstacles often put before them -- to make a significant impact on society. Since 2001, Point has invested $18 million in the education and support of Point Scholars, making it the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit. The Foundation promotes change through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development and community service training.

Join the Valedictorian Society from 7:30-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25. Address provided upon RSVP. Tickets are $30 in advance; $40 at the door.

Attendees will be invited to join Point Foundation's Valedictorian Society ($240 annually or just $20 a month), a group of young professionals taking an important step in fostering a personal culture of philanthropy among emerging LGBTQ leaders.
