The purple Teletubby "Tinky Winky" may be a suspected gay, but now cops have tagged his buddy "Laa-Laa" as nothing more than a cheap sneak thief.

The Smoking Gun reports a man dressed as the yellow Teletubby broke into a friend's house in the early morning hours of Oct. 26, raided the man's fridge, took his leftover Chinese food and "dumped it into his man purse" and escaped.

The Pennsylvania police report notes that shortly after 2 a.m., the man was "later located and identified," and charged with criminal mischief. The man's friend, aka the victim, declined to press charges for the damages to his front door.

They did not identify the costumed criminal, whom they believe had attended a Halloween party earlier that evening (let's hope that was the case, at least). The scene of the crime is less than two blocks from the Lehigh University Campus.

Police categorized the crime as "cleared exceptional" when the victim declined to press charges against the man who shoved his Chinese leftovers into his murse and fled the scene.

The crime goes against the sweet disposition that the yellow Teletubby "Laa-Laa" is known for, along with her crooked antenna. Her purple pal, "Tinky Winky" is the one who is known for carrying a red handbag. Bethlehem police did not indicate the color of the murse into which "Laa-Laa" dumped the Chinese leftovers.
