CDC Taking to Google Plus for Public LGBT Event

It's 2013's National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) wants you to stop by its place for an important conversation.

The CDC will be hosting a Google+ Hangout, open to the public on Sept. 25, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST. The panel is called Innovative HIV Prevention Activities for Gay and Bisexual Men, and the event topics include:

  • A new HIV testing strategy for gay couples called Testing Together

  • The benefits of HIV Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) usage for men who have sex with men (MSM)

  • A national campaign that encourages HIV testing and addresses HIV stigma among Latino/Hispanic MSM.

    You can go to the event page to RSVP and later watch the panel (you can also see it on Youtube). You don't need any special accounts to watch the panel. Just follow the link.
