Boston Antiques Show to Benefit Settlement House

BOSTON, MA - Forty outstanding dealers and galleries from the United States and Europe will convene from 18-21 October 2012 at The Cyclorama at Boston Center for the Arts at 539 Tremont Street in the South End for The Ellis Boston Antiques Show.
Everything from antiques, jewelry, fine art, silver, ceramics, decorative arts, rare maps, print, and antiquities will be available. The selection ranges from museum quality works to eclectic finds.
On Thursday, October 18 at 5:30pm, a Gala Preview will benefit Ellis Memorial. Boston's first settlement house has been caring for children, disabled adults, and families since 1885. Now, Ellis Memorial is proud to celebrate the opening of its new Early Learning Center in Boston's historic South End.
Enjoy fine food, wine, festive music and of course the chance to be among the first to select from a vast array of antiques, fine art, jewelry and much more.

A long-term New Yorker and a member of New York Travel Writers Association, Mark Thompson has also lived in San Francisco, Boston, Provincetown, D.C., Miami Beach and the south of France. The author of the novels WOLFCHILD and MY HAWAIIAN PENTHOUSE, he has a PhD in American Studies and is the recipient of fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center. His work has appeared in numerous publications.
