Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS Dresses Up for Neiman Marcus

DALLAS, Texas - The cyclists and crew of Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS (LSRFA) are joining the fashion team at Neiman Marcus Willow Bend for Fashion's Night Out 2011 with a special benefit VIP reception. For Fashion's Night Out, Thursday, September 8, the upscale Mariposa Caf� at Neiman Marcus Willow Bend, 2201 Dallas Parkway in Plano, will be transformed into an elegant lounge.

From 8:00 to 9:30 PM, guests will enjoy an open bar, appetizers and hip beats from DJ Jonathan Ackerman while mingling with fashion models, for an evening of style and fun. A limited number of tickets are available for $50 in advance and $100 at the door. Fashion's Night Out events begin at 6:30 PM with a presentation of women's styles, followed by the latest men's wear at 7:30.

"From Manhattan to Milan, and across the United States, Fashion's Night Out is the ultimate after-hours shopping extravaganza presented by Neiman Marcus each fall. This year, LSRFA is pleased to be a part of this exciting event," said Danny Simpson, LSRFA event co-chair. "With food, drink and fashion in an elegant, fun atmosphere, this promises to be a memorable night. It will also be a great opportunity for our guests to learn about LSRFA, what we do and the three agencies we support."

Since 2001, LSRFA has distributed more than $1.9 million to its beneficiaries: AIDS Outreach Center of Tarrant County, AIDS Services of Dallas and Resource Center Dallas. These agencies use the money raised by LSRFA to provide a variety of services and support for North Texans impacted by HIV/AIDS, including meals, housing, education and outreach, dental care, HIV testing, case management, transportation, counseling and more.

"The eleventh annual LSRFA rides out on September 24 and 25 from the American Airlines Training and Conference Center south of DFW Airport," said John Tripp, LSRFA event co-chair. "Until then, our cyclists are busy training and raising money. We look forward to events like Fashion's Night Out each year as a way to have fun while still working for this cause that we all care so much about."

In addition to the runway fashion shows and VIP reception additional happenings at Fashion's Night Out include: Richardson Bike Mart and Harley Davidson of Allen will have new bikes on display throughout the Man's Store; jewelry designer Mitchell Binder for King Baby Studio will preview his line of hip jewelry for men; jewelry designer Stephanie Anne will make a personal appearance; home accessories designer Atticus Lyon will be on hand to sign his products; FOX "MasterChef" winner, Whitney Miller, will sign copies of her new cookbook Modern Hospitality: Southern Recipes with Southern Charm; Miss Texas 2011 Kendall Morris will make a personal appearance; and guests will have the opportunity to have photos taken with their friends at the FNO photo stop.

Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS is a two-day cycling adventure through scenic suburban and country roads winding through and around Dallas/Fort Worth on September 24 and 25, 2011. Now in its eleventh year, LSRFA offers a number of routes ranging from a one-day, 45 mile ride to a two-day, 180 mile ride. LSRFA is an independent, non-profit organization that benefits AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), AIDS Outreach Center of Tarrant County (AOC) and Resource Center Dallas (RCD).

Monies raised by the ride are used by the beneficiaries to offer services including housing, hot meals, food pantries, HIV testing, counseling and other basic needs for more than 20,000 clients with HIV/AIDS in North Texas. A grass roots, volunteer supported organization, LSRFA has donated nearly $2 million to our three beneficiary agencies since 2001.
