Victoria Jackson's not gaga over Glee's guy-on-guy kiss

Michael Swartz READ TIME: 3 MIN.

Ignorance must be bliss for former SNL comedian Victoria Jackson, as she recently took a swing at Glee's onscreen kiss between the two male actors, and the homosexual community alike.

Fans everywhere had been waiting for the moment when Blaine and Kurt (nicknamed Klaine) finally kissed. Not everyone was pleased however. Over-the-hill comedian Jackson ranted, "Did you see 'Glee' this week? Sickening! And, besides shoving the gay thing down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians -- again! I wonder what their agenda is. Hey, producers of 'Glee', what's your agenda -- one-way tolerance?"

Jackson, who has become the Tea Party's favorite jester, imbedded her anti-Glee, anti-gay comments deep in a long, aimless blog entry entitled The Muslims Next Door where she takes off on Katie Couric, the liberal establishment and "the new Muslim women's magazine al-Qaida just put out!" Added comic value to her rant comes with a video in which she reels off poorly executed one-liners about Muslims as she sings.

She went on to say (so that it is not taken out of context): "This new al-Qaida magazine for women has beauty tips and suicide-bomber tips! Give me a break! That is as ridiculous as two men kissing on the mouth! And I don't care what is politically correct. Everyone knows that two men on a wedding cake is a comedy skit, not an 'alternate lifestyle'! There I said it! Ridiculous."

Career hiatus

Jackson, who all but disappeared after Saturday Night Live (save for an appearance on the Celebrity Fit Club), re-emerged in the public eye during 2008 Presidential campaign when she spoke out against Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton and senatorial candidate Al Franken. She became a leading public voice in the "Birther" movement - those who believe that Obama was born a Muslim.

She has Obama "bears traits that resemble the anti- Christ" and has close friendships with "Communists, domestic and Muslim terrorists." She also said on a Fox News panel in 2009: "My motivation is gone, because [Obama] will punish me if I'm successful. That's how you start communism, is just take -- Cuba. Obama wants to be Castro."

Glee, as most readers will know, developed story lines for all of the characters that touched upon taboo topics as teen drinking, sex and pregnancy. It was inevitable that gay plot lines would come to the forefront. In addition to Kurt and Blaine, there's the homo-like relationship between Santana and Brittany, who have already kissed onscreen and talked of "scissoring."
Apparently Jackson was off at 700 Club or a Tea Party rally when those episodes were aired, or sex between two women doesn't bother her enough to blog about. She also missed Kurt's earlier kiss with another male cast member, but perhaps it's not the kiss that bothers her, it is the fact that television is now portraying a gay relationship in an everyday way. But who knows? Watch the video - she's clearly unhinged.

It seems that Jackson hasn't done comedy since it was funny to put two men on a cake, because in today's society, it's not comedy, it's real life.

Glee also hosts many heterosexual kisses and sexual situations that this "perfect" kiss between Klaine should not be an issue or a surprise.

But if you have paid any attention to her more recent rubbish since the previous presidential elections, you would know that nothing she has to say is relevant anymore. It would appear that she is struggling in any way to revive her trashed career: calling Barack Obama a communist, Hilary Clinton a socialist and now taking a stab at the gay community.

I wouldn't worry about anything Jackson has to bitch about until she's relevant again. At this rate, it will never happen.
