When you're seeing a Broadway show starring Patti LuPone, it's her house and her rules.

As reported by Page Six, the legendary performer was caught on camera giving a patron a lesson in theater etiquette following a performance of her hit musical "Company" on Monday.

The patron reportedly wasn't putting their mask own after politely being told to do so several times. Then the diva in LuPone came out to call the person to the carpet.

"Put your mask over your nose, that's why you're in the theater," LuPone can be heard saying in a 30-second clip circling social media that include many F-bombs. She added, "That is the rule. If you don't want to follow the rule, get the f—k out!"

The moment quickly went viral on Twitter with 200,000-plus views. If you remember, LuPone, 73, had to battle COVID-19 back in February.

LuPone reportedly didn't stop there, continuing: "Who do you think you are? That you do not respect the people that are sitting around you!"

The audience can be heard erupting in cheers. But the confrontation didn't stop there. The maskless woman attempted a retort by yelling back at LuPone: "I pay your salary!"

To which LuPone promptly responded back: "Bulls—t! Chris Harper pays my salary!" referring to the show's producer.

As surprising as all this seems captured on video, it isn't surprising at all if you've been following LuPone's views on proper theater etiquette.

Back in 2015, LuPone snatched a phone from a texting theatergoer partway through a performance of the play "Shows for Days."

About the incident, LuPone told Playbill: "We work hard on stage to create a world that is being totally destroyed by a few rude, self-absorbed and inconsiderate audience members who are controlled by their phones."
