Not long after some "Saturday Night Live" cast members took issue that billionaire Elon Musk was announced as host for its May 8 show, a report from Page Six claims that the stars won't be forced to appear with the Telsa founder.

"Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don't have to do it," a source told the newspaper. "['SNL' boss Lorne Michaels] won't ever make them do anything they don't want to do."

The source went on to say that no one has pulled out of appearing on the episode.

"Whether you like him or not, Elon is a very interesting character. ... He's very much a showman," they added.

The show's breakout star Bowen Yang along with "SNL" vet Aidy Bryant both made it known on social media that they were not happy that Musk is hosting. Cast member Andrew Dismukes also showed disapproval on Instagram. Click here to read more.

Miley Cyrus will perform as musical guest and Page Six notes she's been receiving online heat for her participation in the episode.
