German actor Jannik Schümann came out in the sweetest way possible - with a monochromatic Instagram of himself in an embrace with his boyfriend, yoga instructor Félix Kruck, and a simple black heart emoji.

He posted the pic on Boxing Day (December 26) and was immediately swamped with heartwarming support. MEP Rasmus Andresen recalled in a tweet that the coming out of actors still deserves to be in the news because there are many people in our society who are afraid to open up about their sexuality,' reports the French website TÊTU.

On Sunday, Schümann, 28, reacted to the response with an Instagram Story, saying in part: "I am overwhelmed by all the messages, comments and the love you give us. I have read every single message and cannot put my feelings into words. "Thank you! 2021 will be a good year. I can feel it."

Not well-known outside of his homeland, Schümann recently told the website Berliner Zeitung that he has been studying English for the past three years. "I was lucky that in April the online summer semester of the Humboldt University began. So I had to do every day, could strain my head in the mornings and had the afternoons free."

He also shared what he's been handling the pandemic. "I really enjoyed it, just come down and thought a lot about the essentials, about my life and what I want." Schümann confesses: "I've never been at home for as long in a row as during the pandemic."

The very busy actor has appeared in more than 30 films and television shows since making his debut at the age of 11 in 2003. TÊTU writes: "After starting his career with several series and TV films, he was one of the main roles in 'Me And My World', broadcast in France by Arte, in which his character had a homosexual love story. He was also found alongside Keira Knightley and Alexander Skarsgård in 'Enemy Hearts', in 2019 and he is currently showing - in the United States and China since French cinemas are still closed - of 'Monster Hunters' with Mila Jovovich. Next year, he will hold one of the title roles of 'Tribes of Europa'." "Tribes of Europa" premieres on Netflix in February, 2021.
