Watch: Taylor Swift Features Transgender Actor in New Video
Taylor Swift's new video features transgender actor and model Laith Ashley, and fans are going berserk with happiness, Comic Sands reported.
Swift took to Twitter to unveil a teaser for the videos she has prepared to accompany her new album, "Midnights."
At one moment in the teaser, "Swift is seen to reach over and touch a man's back," Comic Sands noted.
"That man, as her fans realized quickly, is trans model Laith Ashley," the article added. "Upon being touched in the video, Laith's back seems to light up in a rainbow."
Fans instantly showered love on the clip, on Swift — and on Ashley. Among them was comedian Alex Goldschmidt, according to LGBTQ+ site "them."
Others chimed in excitedly.
"Ashley is a model and actor who rose to fame in the mid-2010s after sharing photos of himself on social media, which were then reposted by actress Laverne Cox," them detailed. "Since then, Ashley has modeled in several brands' campaigns, including Barneys and Diesel. Ashley was also the first out trans member of the RuPaul's Drag Race pit crew."
"Midnights" was released Oct. 22, and instantly shot to the top of streaming platforms.
The first video for "Midnights" has already dropped. The "Anti-Hero" video features "a cameo from comedian John Early," who is openly gay, them noted.
