Ryan Murphy's first show for Netflix, the satirical comedy "The Politician," just got an extra dose of star power.

It was recently announced the series, starring Ben Platt, will hit the streaming service on Sept. 27 and that Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange and more would co-star alongside the Tony winner. Variety is now reporting that Bette Midler and "Transparent" star Judith Light will also join the cast of "The Politician."

The announcement from Murphy himself during PaleyFest on Saturday when he was discussing his FX show "Pose."

Murphy left Fox last year to join Netflix for a five-year $300 million overall deal. The company ordered two seasons of "The Politician" along with another series called "Hollywood," Variety notes.

This will be the first time Midler is working with Murphy, but Light has appeared on the producer's "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story."
