ABC is giving "The Conners" another go.

Variety is reporting the network ordered a second season of the family sitcom, which is one of its highest-rated shows. Stars John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, Ames McNamara, and Laurie Metcalf, are all set to return, after several of them signed a new deal with ABC.

"We are proud to be continuing the story of the iconic Conner family," said ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke in a statement. "This team is fearless in their willingness to tackle contemporary issues with humor and heart, and I have no doubt they will continue to outdo themselves."

Variety notes "The Connors" averaged a 9.5 million viewer rating in its first season. The show debuted after ABC canceled the "Roseanne" reboot in May 2018 after she fired off a racist tweet. The first episode of "The Conners," which notoriously did not feature Barr, earned 10.5 million viewers.
