March, a graduate of King's College London and Northeastern University School of Law. While in law school, Elizabeth participated in the Domestic Violence Institute Clinic at Boston Medical Center and completed internships at the United States Attorney's Office in Boston, the Homeless Advocacy Project in San Francisco, Kauffman Crozier LLP, and with the Honorable Angela M. Ordoñez former First Justice of the Norfolk County Probate and Family Court, now Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. She is excited to pursue a career in family law and is committed to helping families achieve stability and security. Attorney Patience Crozier (Polly), a graduate of Yale University and Boston College Law School, has served as co-chair and board member of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association, on the Steering Committee of the Boston Bar Association's Family Law Section, as an appointed member of the MBA/BBA Joint Alimony Task Force, as a mentor lawyer for Massachusetts Transgender Legal Advocates and as a volunteer lawyer for Senior Partners for Justice. Polly also speaks and writes frequently on topics related to her work, most recently in a chapter in GLAD's book Transgender Family Law: A Guide to Effective Advocacy. She has been honored with the Boston College Law School Recent Graduate Award (2010) and the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Up and Coming Lawyer Award (2010). She has been recognized by the National LGBT Bar Association as a Top LGBT Lawyer Under 40 (2011), by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2009 through 2013, and as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts, Rising Stars. In 2014, Polly was selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America. Attorney Joyce Kauffman, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lesley University, and Northeastern University School of Law, is a member of the Board of Directors of Gay and Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) and has served as a member of the National Family Law Advisory Council of the National Center for Lesbian Rights since its inception in 2003. She is the former co-chair of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association and a current member of the Emeritus Board of Directors of Family Equality, a national organization advocating for the rights of LGBT families. Attorney Kauffman speaks frequently at continuing legal education seminars, conferences, community organizations, and universities and has published a number of articles concerning the legal rights of LGBT families. She is the recipient of the Gwen Bloomingdale Pioneer Spirit Award from the Mass LGBTQ Bar (2007), the Fisher Davenport Award from the Family Pride Coalition (now Family Equality) and COLAGE (2004), and the Barney Frank Award from the Massachusetts School of Law (2003). Attorney Kauffman has been selected for inclusion in Massachusetts Super Lawyers each year since 2008, and was named to "Best Lawyers in America" in 2013. In 2009, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly selected her as one of the Lawyers of the Year and, in 2013, as one of the Top Women of Law.
