Las Vegas Holiday Shopping

Kevin Taft READ TIME: 9 MIN.

It's funny, but unless you live in Vegas, it might seem like a strange idea to do your Holiday shopping there. But when you think of the sparkling lights and the razzle-dazzle of your surroundings, it oddly seems quite fitting. Not to mention, you can practically get anything on your shopping list from the variety of shopping sites on the Strip and beyond.

The added bonus is you get to have some Vegas fun while you're at it since the shops are generally smack dab in the middle of all the action. Don't let that intimidate you, though, because some of the best stores have homes in Vegas from Alexander McQueen to Louis Vuitton. For less pricey options, you can also find mall staples like H&M and Lucky as well.

Crystals

Let's start with the fancy stuff. The new City Center is the upscale section of the Las Vegas Strip with hotels like The Cosmopolitan and Vdara rising into the sky attracting visitors that have a few dollars to spend. So it's no surprise that there would be a high-end shopping experience just waiting for guests directly behind these destinations. Named Crystals, this 500,000 square foot retail and dining center features such stores as Hermes, Christian Dior, Roberto Cavalli and Tiffany and Co. It also boasts retailers who have opened their very first stores including such favorites as Tom Ford, Miu Miu, and Paul Smith. While you're there you can also take in a variety of exclusive restaurants including Eva Longoria Parker's Beso.

The Cosmopolitan

Close by is the newest hotel - The Cosmopolitan, - which has a wild variety of stores you can peruse while you eat, drink, and gamble your day away. Featuring exclusive stores, this is the destination for one-of-a-kind gifts sure to floor your favorite person at the holidays. CRSVR Sneaker Boutique features Limited Edition sneakers. Allsaints Spitalfields is a vintage inspired brand that features anything from tee shirts to denim and leather clothing. Stitched is a "lifestyle destination for gentlemen with discerning tastes" where you can actually create garments personalized with your own name. For something a bit larger, Droog offers accessories, lighting, and furniture that "stands for luxury of content and experience that changes perspective on daily life." I'd go just to figure out what the hell that means!

The Shoppes at The Palazzo & The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian

Moving down the strip is The Shoppes at The Palazzo, another luxury retail center located in The Palazzo and connected by pedestrian walkways to The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. Stores such as Barneys New York, Michael Kors (you just read that with Heidi Klum's accent, didn't you?), Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chloe to name a few, all reside in the Palazzo. Over at the Grand Canal, you can walk through the cobblestone streets and alongside the canal itself while shopping at stores like Kenneth Cole and Sephora.

The Esplanades at Wynn Las Vegas

The Esplanades at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore boasts the only U.S. boutique outside of New York of Manolo Blahnik, not to mention American's only Rolex branded store. Aside from jewelers like Wynn & Company Jewelry and Cartier, if you're looking to bring a little bit of Vegas home for your friends, Wynn LVNV features home furnishings inspired by the rooms and restaurants of the resort.

Town Square Las Vegas

For those with more discerning budgets, Town Square Las Vegas lies at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard and has over 150 retail stores in an open-air environment of 1.5 million-square feet such as: Abercrombie & Fitch, bebe, Juicy Couture, and BCBGMAZAZRIA . And when your feet get tired, you can also enjoy a movie at the 18 screen Rave theatres.

The Las Vegas Premium Outlets

If you still want to find a deal or have too many people for whom to buy, you can opt for two great outlets: The Las Vegas Premium Outlets - North and the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas in Primm. The Premium Outlets is a bit off the strip, but only a short cab ride away. With 150 designer and brand-name outlet stores, you are sure to find a deal. Stores such as Banana Republic, Lacoste, Guess, Theory, Timberland, and Armani Exchange are sure to offer something for everyone on your list. And at 25-65% off!

The Fashion Outlets at Primm

Finally, if you drove in from Los Angeles and you're still not done playing Santa, you can stop of the Fashion Outlets in Primm. With over 100 designer outlets, you can choose from staples like American Eagle Outfitters, Bath and Body Works, Gap, Fossil, Hugo Boss, Levi's, Old Navy, Skechers, and Williams Sonoma. With discounts up to 75% you really can't go wrong.

One Stop Shopping

In fact, with so many options, Las Vegas really is the prime destination for all your holiday shopping. With retailers located inside almost every hotel, there really isn't anything you can't find in the land of overindulgence and excess. Which is why it's the perfect excuse to spend a weekend taking care of your responsibility as seasonal gift-giver, while hitting the strip for a little partying. Shopping? Gambling? Partying? Great food? Really... what more could you want? And it sure beats the hell out of the Beverly Center!
