The Uomo Moderno Fashion Show from Italy: Not Just for Fashionistas!

Sunday Sep 6, 2015

Uomo Moderno, a fashion and lifestyle magazine from Italy that was awarded the 2014 Hottest Magazine Launch, is inaugurating the 3rd Edition of its Fashion Show from Italy, which will kick off on the second day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

What's peculiar about this fashion show is that it is also a live concert! We are saving the bum-bum-bum for the After Party at 11:00; meanwhile, sexy male and female models will be strutting down the runway to the rhythmic beats of the string quartet 4Strung.

Another peculiarity involves our Fashion Vignette, a one-of-a-kind event wherein actors from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts both model and interpret the inspiration behind a collection in a type of off-Broadway skit.

While all these Italian labels are our stars, one is of particular interest: DueDiLatte, which is made from milk! Yes, milk!

Additional brands include the casual streetwear of Rumjungle, the hip activewear of Gate 64, WYWoL's remade vintage, and the high couture of Francesca Marotta.

Special guest model is JamieLee Ackerman, who has completed two full-length feature films, which will be released in the next six months, and has committed to two additional films in the upcoming year. JamieLee is a star on the rise, "who will be an important actress soon," according to world renowned acting coach Susan Batson.

Susan, JamieLee's personal acting coach and mentor, said she'd "be there with bells on," when asked to be on hand for this latest foray. Susan is recognized as a premiere acting coach to Hollywood's "A" list actors, including Nicole Kidman and Oprah Winfrey.

The Uomo Moderno Fashion Show from Italy will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Cutting Room on 44 East 32nd Street in New York, starting at 7:30 pm. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the National 911 Memorial and Museum.
