Lady Gaga's newest album "ARTPOP," which dropped on Nov. 6, will debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the popular music industry trade magazine announced on Wednesday.

Gaga's third LP has sold 258,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan and is the singer's second album to debut at No. 1 - her first was "Born This Way" in 2011. "Born This Way," sold an impressive 1.1 million records in its first week, largely due to the fact that Amazon was selling the album in MP3 format for just 99 cents. Her previous albums, "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" reached the No. 2 and No. 5 spots respectively.

According to Billboard, the success of "ARTOP" is the third-largest sales week for a woman in 2013, with Katy Perry's latest effort "Prism" also hitting No. 1, selling 286,000 copies and Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz," which reached No. 1 as well for selling 270,000 units. Billboard reports that the three pop singer are the only three solo female artists to score debuts larger than 150,000 in 2013. Ariana Grande's "Yours Truly" comes close, however, as she sold 138,000 copies in September.

"ARTOP" also dominated digital sales, selling 146,000 downloads in the first week. Of the 258,000 "ARTPOP" albums sold, 57 percent were digital downloads while the rest were physical copies.

Gaga's album also hit No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Croatia, Japan and in Scotland.
