Scott Lively, the vehemently ultra-conservative minister known for his crusade against the LGBT community, is currently being sued by a Ugandan civil rights group for crimes against humanity but that isn't stopping him from running for Massachusetts governor, Mass Live reports.

In October, Lively, who founded the Abiding Truth Ministries in California, first announced his plans to run for governor of Massachusetts but, on Sunday it was revealed his campaign has officially been launched.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that his campaign issues revolve around: protecting Second Amendment rights, preventing public funding for abortions, repealing marriage equality laws and helping LGBT people to "repent."

According to Lively's campaign, he will also protect honeybees. Because why not?

And his motto? It's: "Qualified. Experienced. Electable."

MassLive reports, according to publicly available camping finance records, the minister has about $3,000 in coffers, including a $2,000 loan to himself.

Lively, who is from Springfield, Mass., said that he doesn't believe the court battle he's currently in will impact his chances at being elected as governor. In August, U.S. District Judge, Michael Ponsor of Massachusetts ruled that a case filed by a Ugandan LGBT advocacy group against Lively for his influence in introducing the African nation's "Kill the Gays" bill would be allowed to proceed, stating that "Widespread, systematic persecution of LGBTI people constitutes a crime against humanity that unquestionably violates international norms."

"If anything, I think it will help me when people learn how ridiculous the lawsuit is," Lively said during an interview, according to MassLive.

"The people of Massachusetts need a candidate who can clearly and unapologetically articulate Biblical values without fear or compromise," his campaign literature reads. "They need a candidate who will tell the simple truth that abortion is murder, and homosexuality is condemned by God (but that Jesus forgives those who repent)."

When Lively first announced plans to run for governor he said in a press release: "The people of this state need a candidate who can clearly and unapologetically articulate Biblical values without fear or compromise. They need a candidate who will tell the simple truth that abortion is murder, and homosexuality is condemned by God (but that Jesus forgives and heals those who repent)."

He went on to say that "Massachusetts is the bluest of the blue states: the first to adopt socialized medicine and "gay marriage," the national model for promoting homosexuality to children in the public schools, and the most aggressive defender of child-killing through abortion."

The minister's anti-gay crusade doesn't stop in Uganda, however. In September Lively said he helped influence Russia's highly controversial "homosexual propaganda" law.

"Yes, I think I influenced the Russian law," Lively told NBC News. In a blog Lively lauded Russian President Vladimir Putin for signing the anti-gay measure into law, calling him "the defender of Christian civilization."

Lively is co-author of the 1995 universally debunked tome "The Pink Swastika," which, according to author notes, asserts that "the Nazi Party was conceived, organized and controlled throughout its short history by masculine-oriented male homosexuals who hid their sexual proclivities from the public, in part by publicly persecuting one group of their political enemies: out-of-the-closet effeminate-oriented homosexuals aligned with the German Communist Party."

So the butch homo Nazis were organizing Fascism and using it to torture Commie sissy gays? My guess is that Lively is a closet Nazi butch self-hating homophobe trying to destroy the Pink Triangle tribe for having the nerve not to hate themselves. I guess he’ll just have to sentence himself to death for gayishness and blasphemy against a merciful God. The Massachusetts electorate will certainly condemn him to well-deserved political death. No hard feelings; just show him up for what he is...

I would like to dismiss Scott Lively as just another kook, but the fact is that he has mastered the skills of using great lies to raise fear and anger. He will no doubt portray himself as a defender of freedom, when in fact he plans to restrict freedom and has the ultimate goal of replacing freedom of religion with state religion. Do not dismiss Lively because the fact is that he is deadly.
