He's baaack!

"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson, who made international headlines last year when he made anti-gay and racist remarks in an interview with GQ magazine, is continuing to spew homophobic rhetoric while defending his controversial statements.

The Huffington Post reports the reality TV star spoke at the Rock the South festival in Cullman, Ala., over the weekend and defended his comparisons to homosexuality to bestiality. In this latest rant, Robertson said he was simply "trying to help those poor souls and turn them to Jesus."

Robertson also urged his listeners to register to vote, saying, "Alabama, whatever you do, register to vote for this presidential election! Go vote for the House and Senate, too. Vote this ungodly bunch out of Washington D.C.!"

The Robertson patriarch's comments come as the audience for his top rated A&E reality program continues to diminish. According to the Christian Post, the second episode of season six that aired Wednesday, June 18 attracted 3.9 million viewers which was down from the 4.6 million who watched the series premiere on June 11. The series five premiere was watched by 8.5 million viewers.

The duck master made his original comments in December 2013, where he said:

It seems like, to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man's anus," the reality star told GQ. "That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical.

Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong. Sin becomes fine," he went on to say. "Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers -- they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right.

It was later revealed that Robertson had made anti-gay remarks as far back as 2010.

This isn't the first time Robertson defended his remarks. Shortly after his 2013 statements, he said he was trying to "save" gay men and women with his QG comments.

Nevertheless, he delivered an anti-gay Easter sermon in May, which you can read here.

What’s wrong with some one making comments about lifestyles they do not approve of,if the gays or fagots do not approve or respect some ones else opinion for theirs ? I thought we had freedom of speech in this country? I guess we don’t when it offends groups that are in morally working against Gods will ! The biggest problem is that this government and certain groups are trying their best to destroy all that is Christen and religion out, I have no problems with the gays as they call themselves ,they have a problem with theirselves ! That’s why we have aids and other un curably diseases ! Maybe this is Gods way of saying this is the wrong. If is the way they want to live their lives so be it,but just like them and giving their opinion we are in titled to give ares also!!! If A & E drops the program I hope all Christian do the same! Everyone forgets what this nation was founded on One Nation Under God,this is why it was the greatest one for 200 plus years, take a real close look at it now since they are taking away the word God out of it!!!

First, Please learn to spell, especially if you at going to use derogatory termas. Second, if you are a "Christian" you would know it is not spelt christen, that’s what you do to a baby or a new boat you christen it. Now with that being said your comment made no sense or relevance. I have no problem with what Phil said but what I do have a problem with I when someone spews hatred from their mouth and tries to use the bible to back it up. Jesus never spoke of hate h spoke of love an acceptance. The God that I know loves. But that’s the problem man and their ideologies and doctrines have corrupted the word of God for their own selfish uses. So called Christians have for hundreds of years used the bible to rationalize their hatred. Slavery, women’s rights, marriage of different races, the civil rights of African Americans and now the civil rights of the LGBTQ community. They preach the same sermon and just change the group to rationalize their hatred. There is going to be a big surprise when so called self righteous Christians get to the pearly gates an see who is in line that goes before them. You don’t have to agree with someone life r their "values" but you will grant them the civil liberty and protection under the law. All men are created equal... But people seem to forget that and tend to marginalize people if they don’t fit a certain criteria. If you truly wanted to sc someone’s soul as old man Phil claims you sure aren’t going to do it with hate. Why did Jesus have th following he did? Love. End of story this is not about freedom of speech this is about hateful man who does not have the love of God in his heart for if he did it would show. The bible says you will know a tree by the fruit that it bears. Ole Phil sure doesn’t bear the fruit of a true Godly and Christian man.

^ As with what the individual said above -- I have no problem with Phil speaking his mind and having an opinion. He is infact entitled to have one and he also has the right to freely express his opinion. Whether he is incorrect or not is irrelevant. What IS a problem is when Phil’s ideologies and opinions take an outwardly aggressive form and infringe upon the rights of others as either citizens of the United States of America OR as Human Beings. If you want to take it from another stand point -- it is not okay to belittle, take away rights from, think or talk about as less than or inferior from any individual or group - whether they be/are a different race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, or sexual orientation and preference than yourself. In addition to the above comment -- Jesus and God both preach love, compassion and forgiveness. If you are/were close to God as a true "Christian" or follower of Christ, then you SHOULD know better!! Let me put it this way.... if Jesus/Christ/God are the embodiment of pure love, compassion, forgiveness and light ...who do you think it is that is the embodiment of pure hatred, selfishness, revenge and darkness? Be careful what you choose to speak and act out my friend. Don’t be blinded by the illusion of "Justice," "Pride" and "Righteousness." For these 3 are the most easily corrupted.
