Join the Ft Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus tonight and tomorrow night for "Guilty Pleasures," a concert that allows you to indulge in the entertainment you crave! With selections from Judy Garland, The Golden Girls, Chicago, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Cabaret and more, this concert will satisfy your musical desires. The Celebration of Life for my friend Richard Blaise Cimoch will be at The Sunshine Cathedral, 1480 SW 9th Avenue, at 3pm. Richard was a HUGE part of our community and gave his heart to 2 of our organizations; Pride South Florida (Co-Chair) and the Dolphin Democrats for many years. In an effort to promote economic growth and development in the City of Miami Beach, the LGBT Business Enhancement Committee has prepared a mini-symposium for small business owners interested in a new, expanding or relocating a business to Miami Beach. The 2-day event will take place in conjunction with Miami Beach Gay Pride and will feature a series of panels to educate the public on the steps required to open a business in Miami Beach. The event will kick off at 7 pm with a welcome reception, followed by a day of panel discussions on Thursday, April 11, from 8 am-5:30pm at the LGBT Visitor Center Miami Beach. Featured speakers include the Mayor of Miami Beach, Chief of Police and representatives from MDGLCC, LGBT Visitor Center, and others.
